in the 90`s there were aprox 40 Groups of gangs in Cali. now cali was a more dangerous place and an insecure city. but the city still was growing at by all this years Gangs had been gorwing and now they make bad things and things which affect a community, they now started to make ilegal things and to put drugs on them.

Gangs are connected to many other problems in many ways.
No education: Usually gangsters don’t go to school because their parents can’t afford it, or the teenagers just decide to quit school, or they are expelled for bad behavior and other problems.
Alcoholism: As gangsters don’t go to school, they have all day free to do what they want and waste their lives away by drinking alcohol. This problem can be connected to with drugs as well.
Unemployment: When people find themselves out of a job, they are more likely to join a gang for economic reasons.
Lack of safety: When people living in dangerous neighborhoods find themselves threatened, they look to gangs for protection and help from other people. This will make them much more likely to join a gang.
Child labor: When a child joins a gang, the gang will likely force him to work to get money and do the most dangerous parts of the job.
Bullying: When people go to gangs and bigger people are bully people bother someone he/she try to look for the easy solution which would be become part of a gang and this way nobody would bother the or could bully them. And they don’t have like a precion and somebody all the time bothering and telling bad things.
Murders: When they are in a very big fight which is when they actually do the majority of illegal things usually they end killing 1 or more persons in a violent and terrible way and reason because they fight to protect their gang. alos when they killed someone because he odd the gang money and the person dont pay them they kill him.

What are the points of view of gangs? PERSPECTIVE
Cecilia Vivas (mum of an ex ganger): She thinks that gangs in Agua Blanca are really difficult to control because the children from 5-10 years are aggressive, and most of the time they are scared because something could happened and usually they always feel insecure and this filling could take the kids to any thing for don’t feeling like this. The teenagers from 11-16 are the wrest ones and the most difficult ones make them reflect about what they are really doing to Cali and their neighborhood, they are the ones that most illegal things do and the ones that wrest act, most of them have no dad or some no parents but the most common family is supported by the mother. They are normally looking for gangs and for they to feel secure and have “real friends” and to have a kind of power because if not they generally feel miserable and they bully him or her because she’s/he’s alone. This power makes them have an impact in others gangs and the type of gang she/he is on, this people from this ages are the ones who normally have the biggest power, this mean that they are normally the leader or the sub leader have the most important powers, because they are not other than 18 so they cant go to jail and this is way they do what they want to, however at this ages they are tow different decisions that could change their life and define their future, they could take the decision to go out of gangs or to stay this decision is taken just by some and normally when they are 15-16 and they mostly do this because something really bad had happened to their gang or they as gang members don’t feel right, and the others generally stay until they each time committed wrest actions and the police start to look for them. Gang members of Agua Blanca don’t go to school because their parents can’t afford it or because they get expelled from school for bad behavior. And when my kid started to look for his real friends I realize we needed to do something and this is way I work here. Ex member of gang (name can’t be said): He now realized that being in a gang wasn’t as bad as people of the society think it is, however how they are tow different types one is the one that is the wrest one which is the one that provoke the others and the good one which is ho my gang was which consisted like it’s a normal group of friends and when they provoke them they fight however in Agua Blanca the members of the good gang don’t go to school as well as the bad gang which there none go to it, the wrest thing that happened to me was the killed one of my best friends and I felt really bad and I started reflecting about really if I need to be on it. Now I have a dream which is to become a police man because I think the police is helping lots of people from gang to go out of them and reflect and when I was in a gang I really admire and my role model was a police because they saved my life more than two times. And I really want to thanks this opportunity this foundation has given me because now my parents are calmer and because this life is much better. Society in general P.O.V: the society generally considerate that gangs are really bad because they do a lot of acts that makes people be nervous most of the time they are in the streets, also they are the ones that damage and make graffitist or logos in the clean walls which make Cali see kind of ugly and be more dangerous. However most of the people also believe that they are totally bad when they used the power they have in a gang to bully others, and also when they used their power to for making others have his fault of what they have done. Their parents are also affected because they are always nervous about something bad could happen with his sun. The parents of the teenagers are also nervous about the same but also that they join to one or because may be they could be the victims.
